Do you think Rufus' view of children as one of the ends of marriage was a stoic idea specifically, or was it more indicative of the time when having many children was more pressing due to infant mortality?

I've heard the claim that the Catholic idea of natural law regarding sex being open to procreation was influenced from Stoicism. To what extent did Stoicism comment on non-procreative sex practices?

Both. It's not a real either-or

Hearing something is very far from going to texts to see if it's remotely the case.

To the extent that you see it discussed in the texts we have, mostly by Seneca, Epictetus, Musonius, Hierocles, Arius Didymus, and Marcus,
