Do you think Rufus' view of children as one of the ends of marriage was a stoic idea specifically, or was it more indicative of the time when having many children was more pressing due to infant mortality?

I've heard the claim that the Catholic idea of natural law regarding sex being open to procreation was influenced from Stoicism. To what extent did Stoicism comment on non-procreative sex practices?
