It is that sort of teaching style that I enjoy. It is awesome to learn from someone who obviously enjoys teaching. I think I might have told you at the last chat about Mr. Crump my English Literature teacher in high school. He looked like William Shakespeare and he made learning the material fun. I tried my best to make the stuff I was teaching in the Navy fun and I think that helped the students learn better. Thanks for your memories Dr. Sadler.

What a gift you were given that semester, and how beautiful that your soul was ready and open to receive it's refreshment. I can literally see the desert of your heart and mind bursting into full flower due to Perry's gifts of teaching.

I wouldn't say that my soul was particularly ready and open in my teenage years

Hi Gregory

I'm Paul Hearn, Perry's friend. If you share with me your email, I can share the beginnings of Perry's book and meditation on the life of Joan of Arc and how her story has been adapted over the years in poetry, art, and music. It also reads at times as a semi autobiography of his spiritual development from his childhood in Bellingham. I also have the rough draft of his reflections on CS Lewis's Narnia Chronicles. I say rough as the woman who typed it out made several mistakes but sent me a PDF so I can't fix the errors...but it's quite good too.

Hope I can share these works with you as you may derive some pleasure from reading his thoughts.

Best,

Paul
